Hormone balancing smoothie

This nutrient dense smoothie is packed with vitamins and minerals that will support your adrenal glands which are your energy power houses.  When the adrenal glands are weak we lack energy, our thyroid is affected which regulates our metabolism and our hormones can become imbalanced.  This superfood smoothie is meant to support these glands and is a well balanced meal.  It’s has healthy fats, proteins and carbs.  

Moringa- Is a powerhouse of nutrients containing a significant amount of B vitamins, beta carotene, vitamin C, K, manganese, calcium, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus. Moringa

Moringa fights free radicals, which helps decrease inflammation, lowers blood sugar and the high antioxidant properties also support the heart, brain and liver.

Spinach-  High in antioxidants, iron, calcium, potassium and vitamin A.  It’s a great way to get a handful of greens in your diet.  You can also alternate greens.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of filter water

Handful of spinach

1 banana

1 tbsp moringa

1 tbsp camu camu

1 tsp maca root

1/4 cup or less cacao

1-2 scoops of collagen powder

1/4 cup full fat coconut milk BPA free can

Instruction:

Blend spinach and water until liquefied, add banana, coconut milk and all the powders.

*Note if you are doing seed cycling as well to help balance hormones the seeds can be added the smoothies.  Blend/grind the seed first then add the rest of the ingredients.
